The city's big Christmas party kicks off on Sunday 16 November when Glasgow's Christmas Lights are switched on. The ticket ballot for Glasgow's Christmas Lights is now closed.
Magic" join in as we sprinkle some seasonal sparkle throughout the city
centre. Fun starts at 12noon and the Carnival parade starts at 2pm from
St Enoch Centre.
The Lord Provost is delighted to welcome all to join
her at the Blessing of the Crib on Wednesday, 3 December in George Square.
The Blessing will be conducted by the Reverend Whitley from
Glasgow Cathedral, followed by a children’s carol service. Everyone is welcome.
Remember to wrap up warm and come dressed for the weather.
Registration for Baby's First Christmas opens at 9am on Friday 31 October.Babies residing in Glasgow and born after 21 November 2013 can be registered by phoning 0141 287 5064 or online here The popular event will see 1000 of Glasgow’s new-borns receive a silver coloured trinket and a certificate to mark the occasion. The first 250 infants registered by their proud mums and dads can look forward to an audience with the Lord Provost in the City Chambers Banqueting Hall on the 6 December.Baby’s First Christmas is organised by Glasgow City Council and sponsored by the St Enoch Centre.
